6 Questions GL HF

1. Why are the students so unwilling to associate with anyone outside their ethnic/racial groups? Where does this intolerance come from? Their parent's and their gangs. If they talk with someone outside their gang they can be killed.

2. Ms. Gruwell is the first teacher to show trust and respect for the “at risk” students at Wilson High. How does Erin Gruwell demonstrate this? Why are some students more resistant to trusting each other? She talk with them and let them be together 

3. Why is trust such an important component of a teacher-student relationship?
If they can trust eachother the can say things to their teacher and trust that it not comes out to someone else.

4. Why does Ms. Gruwell’s students hate and resent her at first?
Cous she is an new teacher and they dont know her at first. So they dont want her to know something about their at first

5. How do the classmates learn to trust one another? How does reading and writing initiate this change? They have learn to trust.Ms. Gruwell's have talk with them much and give them tis book about anne frank.

6.What did you think about the movie? Motivate your answer!
I think its an really good movie.You see how it is in other countrys that maybe don't have it so good like we have it in Sweden, like they need to be careful when they go outside the street and protect there own people that are in the same gang as them. I think this movie really touch your hearth. I learned about this movie that to do whats right is the best. Like in the movie in the couthroom the girl did the right thing that said it was her boyfriend that was the one who killed the man.

Freedom writers

Miep Gies, the woman who hid Anne Frank, is a hero to Ms. Gruwell’s students. What does Miep Gies mean when she tells Ms. Gruwell’s students, “You are heroes everyday.”?

Miep Gies means that they are heroes becous they are gooing trhough their hard lifes. What similarities are there between Woodrow Wilson High School and Apelskolan? How are they different?
in their school they are divided into big gangs black, asians, white and so on. In our school we dont have them gangs. What are your thoughts after watching the film?
I think its sadly that they are divided into gangs :'(
